Annabel writes a weekly blog for the Dallas Morning News Moms Blog, where she shares ideas on how to strengthen children and families. Lina Cuartas writes a weekly blog for Motah, an educational website dedicated to inspiring and motivating children and parents. Lina’s articles can be found at www.Motah.us. Lina Cuartas was interviewed in La Prensa, a Spanish newspaper in San Antonio, Texas on March 25, 2009. Lina Cuartas appeared on Univision Television on February 22, 2009, to promote Come Into My World! Lina and Annabel were guests on The Not So Perfect Parent, a segment of WFAA’s Good Morning Texas. Lina and Annabel demonstrated select activities from their books to the North Texas television audience. Book Launched in October, 2008 Come Into My World! and Entra a Mi Mundo made their debut at the 2008 Dallas International Book Fair on October 24 and 25, 2008, where international, national and local authors were available to read and sign their books. While Annabel attended the Dallas International Book Fair, Lina busily promoted their books on the airwaves with host Fernando Ramirez on “K-Pasa Southeast Tejas.” Lina’s interview was broadcast worldwide in Spanish on www.lagrand1450.com and throughout Southeast Texas on La Gran D 1450 AM. Awards In February 2008, one of Lina’s original art creations was selected as one of the top five winners in the Dr Pepper Sabrosura Art Contest! Hispanic artists were asked to submit an original creation that best captured the essence of being Hispanic. Professional judges selected 23 semifinalists from numerous entries from around the United States. The top five winners were chosen by eligible voters in an on-line Internet judging contest. Lina’s award-winning painting was one of five works of art exhibited in 23 cities throughout the United States.
